About Studio Brio

Studio Brio is run by Shane Griffiths, who has spent a little over 20 years in product strategy, design, and front-end engineering. We work with startups, agencies, and growing businesses, helping them design and build websites, apps, and digital services that are clear, fast, and made to last.

We keep the process simple and don't let unnecessary things get in the way. We work together, identify what you need, and get something real in front of you as quickly as possible. We work in short cycles, continuously iterating and refining with complete control and transparency.

What we value

Clarity

Elegant design, reliable engineering, simple conversations, with the noise taken out.

Craft

Made with care, so it is fast, accessible, reliable, and still working in a few years.

Collaboration

You talk to the person doing the work, and you always know where things are.

Progress

Modern tools and AI where they genuinely help, with a person behind every decision.

Our Guiding Principles.

Elegant design, reliable engineering, simple conversations, with the noise taken out.

Most projects start with us taking things away: the jargon in the brief, the clutter on the screen, the extra steps in a journey that nobody asked for. What is left is easier to use, easier to scale and evolve.

Ways to work together

We are completely flexible and have experience in many working scenarios, including complex stakeholder environments across continents.

  1. 01 Fixed project work

We agree the scope and a fixed price before anything starts, then build in short cycles so you see progress as it happens. Once it is live, support carries on only if you want it to.

  2. 02 Ongoing partnership

A set number of days each month, with the priorities agreed together at the start of each one. Good for products that keep growing after launch.

  3. 03 Agency support

We work behind your agency team, on your process and your tools, as quietly or as visibly as you like. The client relationship stays yours.

Plain answers to the questions we get asked most, about process, timelines, and cost. If yours is not here, just ask. I read everything myself, so you will hear back from me rather than from a queue.

How does a project start?

It starts with a conversation, usually a call, where we work out what you actually need and whether we are the right people to do it. If we are, we get a clickable prototype in front of you in the first week or so. From there we build in short cycles and show you each one as it lands, so there are no long silences and no big reveal at the end.

How long will it take?

It depends on the scope of the project. We will give you a proper estimate before we start rather than a vague one afterwards. Because the work ships in short cycles, you see real progress in the first couple of weeks instead of waiting months for everything at once.

What does it cost?

We agree the scope and the price before we start, so there are no surprises on an invoice later. Project work is a fixed price for an agreed scope. Ongoing partnerships are a set number of days each month, which we can adjust together as things change.

Who will I work with?

You work with Shane, who designs and builds the work himself. There is nobody in between, so the person you brief on a Monday is the same person showing you the work on Friday.

Do you take on small projects?

Yes, gladly. A focused build with a tight scope suits the way we work, and some of our favourite projects have been small ones. Tell us what you need and we will give you a straight answer on whether we are the right fit, and point you somewhere better if we are not.

Can you work with our existing team?

Yes. We slot in alongside in-house teams and agencies, for design, build, or both, and we are used to working in other people's tools and processes. If you are an agency, your client relationship stays yours, and we are happy to stay in the background if that suits.

Do you work with charities?

Absolutely. Most of our experience is in the charity and NGO sector, and we offer charities a discounted rate.
